Is your local community facility or home prepared for the heat this summer? Want to make your home cooler without contributing to greenhouse gases and costing the earth?

Yarra City Council is holding two Community Information Workshops on keeping your home and community facilities cool this summer—one of which is right here at Holden Street Neighbourhood House. The workshop will cover energy efficient cooling, heat health promotion and preparing for extreme situations. There will be presentations by Yarra City Council and Red Cross, and plenty of time for discussion and questions.

David Brant is the Executive Director of the Victorian Universal Housing Alliance (VUHA) and a Director of the Victorian Council of Social Service (VCOSS). He is also a member of the City of Yarra’s Disability Advisory Committee and vice president of the Fitzroy High School Council.
